Pumps for refrigeration and air-conditioning technology

The conveyance of cold liquids in air-conditioning systems and refrigeration plants requires high demands on the applied pumps due to low temperatures. For this purpose, the pumps need to be constructed accordingly and precisley dimensioned for the application. The application of pumps in the field of air-conditioning and refrigeration technology are centralised refrigeration plants in food industry, the cooling of processes in the industry and air conditioning.

The composition as well as the higher viscosity need to be considered at the media to be pumped in these areas. In air-conditioning technolgy is cold water or demineralised water needed. Stable processes are here incessant and the material designs are being offered accordingly in grey cast iron for cold water respectively bronze and stainless steel for demineralised water.

At very low temperatures of up to -50°C, the pumps are equipped with special low temperature materials. A magnetic coupling is being proved to be protection against icing of the shaft seal.
